• GRUPPO SABNDIERATORI SANSEPOLCRO

The Sabndieratori Group of Sansepolcro, is an association of young people working in the field of historical re-enactment since 1953.

The group consists of 79 performance professionals of re-enactment of the ancient game of flag waving, which finds its origins in the Italian Renaissance.  

Its mission is:

⇨to teach flag games in the Michelangelo Bounarroti secondary school in Sansepolcro.

At the end of the course, every year the young students participate in the annual show in Piazza Torre di Berta "Flag Games", held every year on the Saturday preceding the Palio della Balestra.

They also collaborate with the "Casa di Rosa" center, where we introduce young autistic patients to flag games.

• SOCIETÀ BALESTRIERI SANSEPOLCRO

Società Balestrieri Sansepolcro is a cultural organisation whose main purpose is to perpetuate the Palio della Balastra, the tournament among the Sansepolcro and Gubbio crossbowmen, celebrated every year from the 14th century.

This organisation is composed from about 130 members, crossbowmen, musician anda characters.

Its mission is:

⇨to allow children to learn the ancient traditions of our city, visiting our place, shooting with a small crossbow under crossbowmen supervising. 

• FORMA.Azione srl

It is an association founden in 1997 and it is composited by 3 partners and 12 employees as tutors, training specialists, VET/EU projects designers and administrative staff.

Its mission is:

⇨to create concrete opportunities for the professional and social development of the target groups.

⇨to improve access to training, in particular for adults (19-64): low skilled workers, unemployed, people at risk of social exclusion, women.

⇨to continuously improve the quality of the training offer and the expected impact for the target groups.

⇨to enhance active citizenship and cultural promotion through trainings and cultural events with youth.

⇨to promote the gender mainstreaming approach in the labour market also by combating gender stereotypes in vocational training, career selection and professions.

⇨to promote youth participation, their civic engagement and raising awareness about EU mobility opportunities as well as the acquisition of formal anda non-formal competencies.

• AYUNTAMIENTO DE TORRIJOS

Ayuntamiento de Torrijos is the public body that is responsible for the implementation of public policies at local level. 

Some of main areas of activities are "Crónicas del Rey Don Pedro", the association "Arqueros del Rey Don Pedro" and the association of swordmanship "Milities Xorsi".

Its mission is:

⇨to rise awareness on local history as well as engagement on medieval sports and renactment.

⇨to take advantages of more experienced partners on the recovery of cultural traditions.

⇨to give a boost to new ways of healthy and educative youth activities in their leisure time.

⇨to take the opportunity to start a closer approach to EU programmes as a way to spread EU common values and oportunities.

• IES JUAN DE PADILLA

IES Juan de Padilla represents about 60 teachers and more than 600 students from one od the three secondary education institutes of Torrijos.

Two important activities that they realise are "Mr. Julio César" and "Programe of Improvement of Coexistence".

Also, IES Juan de Padilla has a main objective:

⇨to carry out activities that bring the medieval culture closer to our students, while at the same time they can learn about medieval traditions from other European countries in order to discover our enormous cultural similarities.
